Based on that performance, Valkyrie was safe enough, but Loki threw out a couple threads of subtle magic: one to nudge Bo's attention more on him and the second to help clear the effects on Valkyrie, make it easier for her to think for herself. "Most people want to do more than exchange names before jumping into bed," he said to Bo. "And I assure you the Valkyrie has no interest in me in any case."

He stepped close enough to stroke Bo's cheek, folding away part of his mind as he always did, just to make sure he could stop at need. It was easier than holding screens. "Let her go for now," he murmured. "Why chase dinner when you have a willing option?"
