"Yeah," Sam said and forced up a little smile. "But so was my mom. And so was Rebekah." Mom had died. Rebekah had just disappeared on him and maybe that wasn't entirely fair, but Sam felt how he felt.

It made him think, though. "Maybe she started to see something about one of us or Molly leaving. That would suck. A lot." He pulled her in for a slow, sweet kiss. "But it wouldn't be a break up, so it would hurt but at least it wouldn't be because one of us screwed up."
